The lighting standards of CPTED and Light Pollution Preventive Act is important in each viewpoints in designs environmental for multiple housing complexes. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the lighting standards of CPTED and Light Pollution Preventive Act for the multiple housing complexes. First, fundamental notions and contents of CPTED and Light Pollution Preventive Act were examined through literature research, and then lighting standards for multiple housing complexes which is extracted from both guidelines were compared and analyzed. The lighting standards of CPTED and Light Pollution Preventive Act are divided into relationship with environment, lighting characteristics and adjacent road lighting for the items corresponding to the standards of an multiple housing complex to make comparison and analysis. Since the guidelines of CPTED and Light Pollution Preventive Act cover a wide range of urban environment, it is necessary to provide specially subdivided lighting standards for multiple housing complexes.
