In modern society, an interest in new residential environment has been increased for those who seek rational and efficient space focused on various life-style.
Especially, there is an rapid increase of single person households in urban region. This increase changes housing culture which is unified extremely one way to apartments in urban region, and it makes hard to find detached houses in the city.
This social change makes a need of new living type. Therefore, there should be small housing activation plans of increasing demands.
In this study, it focuses on the cases of small housing in Japan. As looking effective space plan about small housing, it is expected to know about tendency of future Korean urban detached houses. So Interior design changes shape of small space to various composition. Furthermore small house’s interior design plan can suggests directivity of the small housing considered residential individuality and characteristic of space.
