The tradition of Tajimamori in Suinin of the Kojiki and Nihonshoki brought home the plant called “a present-day mandarin orange tre” by an emperor"s command from Fairy land(常世?). However, since it was after passing away, he offer an Imperial mausoleum and it is a talk of the person who killed himself on the death of his master. This is based on typical Taoism. I thought examining the conventional result of research about the background and essence of this tradition. First, it is said to be The visit of fairy land which is the same motif as 徐市(徐福). In the element of a tale, it turned out that it is the form except a companion or an intermediate occurrence that two are the same. Probably, this tradition referred to 徐市, and was made, or it considers the tradition of own house to be also. In order to investigate a concrete situation, I performed comparison with the related article of Siki(史記). Second, since Tajimamori and Tachibana are similar name(sound), Story is interpreted as the tradition which made it the core and is realized. However, as for mentioning that change of a phoneme and the name of a government post are 橘守, a problem is one of bases. In addition, although many things are explained, it is nothing but a guess similarly. It is necessary to take notice of expression of the text “非時香菓” which points out a mandarin orange tree, rather than it. In addition, it is a tradition of loyal retainer which is not visible to China. Such plan must have suited the editor side. Anyhow, the tradition of having brought the mandarin orange tree home had the purpose of celebrate of the founder 三宅連 from the first. Besides, in addition, I have given the character of a tale called the origin tradition of a new mandarin orange tree. Moreover, what was drawn as a person of an ideal peculiar to Japan as loyal retainer of an early dynasty.
