The purpose of this study was to research the techniques of the last three strides from run-up to take-off performances and to provide the kinematic variables of the performances on the cardinal planes in transition phase. The subjects of this research were the players who ranked within top eighth of the female long jump competition at the 2011 Taegu world championship. Each long jump was recorded using a video camera(sony PD170) operating at 60 ㎐ and the Kwon3D program was used to analyse the video images of the jumps and the results were as follow: 1. All subjects of the long jumpers showed medium-lang-short stride patterns(3LS, 2LS, 1LS) between run-up to takeoff phase. 2. The peak horizontal velocity of all subjects were not the same at a certain position but everybody had her peak velocity at different spots. The media-lateral velocity did not have any relationship with stride angle but showed different velocity with the angle of sagittal and frontal trunk inclination. 3. The medic-lateral velocity at the takeoff phase and the angle of sagittal and frontal trunk inclination had effect on the flight trajectory of center of gravity. 4. The more decelerated horizontal velocity showed the bigger takeoff angle at the takeoff board. 5. When the angle of leg placement in the sagittal plane was smaller the sagittal trunk inclination was small too. The flight trajectory of center of gravity was near to straight line.
