The aims of this study is to provide a theoretical frame by elucidating what types of exercise interest have specific effects on exercise immersion and perceived performance in taekwondo events, to provide basic data for taekwondo coaches" effective team operation and management in the field and further, to provide theoretical data to contribute to increasing Korean taekwondo performance. In order to achieve these purposes, this study selected as parent population, middle school taekwondo players registered currently in Korea Taekwondo Federation in 2012’ and for data collection, total 596 questionnaires were collected using convenience sampling out of non-probability sampling methods, and total 544 questionnaires were employed as final valid samples except 52 copies which are defined to omit part of contents surveyed or to respond faithlessly among them.
For research tools, structured questionnaires based on the self-administered method were employed. For statistical analysis techniques used in this study in order to analyze collected data, frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were employed.
Through the above research methods and procedures, the following conclusions were drawn in the present study: First, the exercise interest factor is exerting effects on exercise immersion. Second, the exercise interest factor is exerting effects on perceived performance. Third’ exercise immersion is exerting effects on perceived performance.
