The proportion which developed with the architectural history is the most important principal, and it may be continued through the architecture. The purpose of this study is the investigation about proportion theory that would be concerned with spacial form and shape historically, and is the research of the multiplication and division of proportion unit and its types. The results of this study that starts with this purpose are as follows.
First, the method of Fibonacci sequence is the characteristic of the golden section, and is the most representative multiplication and division method. Second, the multiplication and division through the simply arithmetical computation are also used frequently, but it seems to be used limitedly about the setting up a type. Third, the method of multiplication and division according to geometrical drawings is presented for a spiral curve of golden section, and is also in general use like root proportion for getting the method of numerical value.
