This paper presents the development of efficient load-paths by using Topology Optimization for Body Stiffness and Crashworthiness. Within the context of crash loadcases, topology optimization should not be used to design crushable regions of the vehicle. For these loadcases it maybe useful to interrogate the section forces from an existing Crash analysis model to gain insight into the relative magnitudes and directions. The conversion model from transient loadcases such as crash to static loadcases and the body stiffness model are conducted by using topology optimization for the efficient load-paths. This study focused on not to develop structural performance but to improve the load bearing efficiency of the structure.
