This study has been conducted in order to measure costs-added that enterprises incur when in employing people with disabilities. For this purpose, we have examined extra costs that employers bear in the disabled employment for a year in 2010, as well as any other costs associated with a loss productivity of the disabled workers using Cobb-Duglas production function. The extra costs of enterprises were examined in three categories: facilities costs, equipment costs and employment managemnet costs.
This study showed that the amount of monthly costs-added burdened by an enterprises (which is the sum of extra costs and productivity loss) was 590 thousand KRW; extra costs was 168 thousand KRW, productivity loss was 420 KRW.
