Study on full?length novel in the late 1930"s is not free from the influence of the socialist realism and the imperialism of the time. They have a difficult problem that is impossible to recognize of the real objectivity and totality. Although discussion of full?length novel reinforced the quality of literary of the time. Besides, "alteration of novel" is not conscious discussion.
Discussion of full?length novel are summarized four level. First, there are launched a bitter diatribe against that the serial story in a newspaper has be inclinable to its popularization. Second, there are discussion that make a comparative study on the Joseon during Japanese colonial era full?length novel and the Western full?length novel. Third, there are discussion that make a comparative study on short story and full?length novel. Fourth, there are discussion that full?length navel are now facing a serious crisis through a defunct newspaper. And there are discussion about coming up with a remedy.
