Employment policies for the persons with disabilities(hereinafter PWDs) should involve understanding the labor market and reflect the current needs. ‘Survey on the Employment Status of the Disabled in Business(2010)’ aims to understand the current employment status of the PWDs in the work places and analyze the primary factors related. The result of this survey consists of essential data and materials to establish the employment policies for the PWDs.
The survey is the only research to obtain the current data of the PWDs labor market nationally which was designed to analyze the reliable situation. The survey was focused on the various factors influencing the employment of PWDs and the targets are the business owners with more than 50 full-time laborers. Therefore, the research was conducted on recruitment personnel management, vocational education and training, satisfaction, working environment, awareness of the related policies and system, experience of employing PWDs.
It is necessary to investigate further on industrial accidents and awareness of the PWDs. Especially, the result of the survey is mainly divided into the two parts. In the first part, the result shows the response frequency on the questionnaires given to the respondents in 2010. The other part shows the data conducted in 2008 compared to the data in 2010.
