This study wrote up the renewable energy industry and relevant policy for at tracting investment in Gyeungnam province. It expects to seek way to encoura ge the investment into the renewable industry and mitigate the obstacles which interrupt building investment. Also, political measure to increase efficiency of Gyeongnam’s policy will be produced.
The research methodologies are classified into four categories. First, do concept arrangement and policy analysis through the literature research. Second, findout current trend and characteristics by using government official statistics and internal data of Gyeongnam province. Third, through the interview and social survey, analyze statues of relevant enterprises and political demand, and identify the problem of building investment. Fourth, suggest the development way based on the experimental opinions and existing policies which are released at researc h association and seminar.
As a result, the essential direction to encourage the investment into the rene wable energy of Gyeongnam province is as follows.
First of all, Gyeongnam should lead to build the market base and secure the stable budget as a center. It contributes to create the system to expand and encourage the investment in research and development (R&D) and promote the education program development.
Second, set a condition to encourage the participation of private sector and lead the market. For this, having an interest in international standardization of renewable energy and taking an aggressive action against it are required, as well as diverse systems.
Third, set provision systems of renewable energy which is specialized in each shi(市) and gun(郡) by maximizing its use, and supplement the administrative system for planning and pushing forward a business. Most of all, selecting and promoting the specialized industry of the region should be considered first.
In Gyeongnam region, it is the wind power industry that has been emerged as the most competitive industry. To drive this industry, organizing the exclusive group in administration system, establishing the wind power component industry cluster, and planning for attracting the investment in Gyeongnam’s R&D are necessary.
