The youth would have fragmentized as a group of isolated subjects more and more under the capital-globalism. The youth generation have lost their homogeneity in the context of youth culture. In fact, the youth have been difficult to acquire their identities not as consumers but as communities/groups in these days. The discourse of ‘880000won generation’ such as irregular youth-labors, casual youth-labors would make changes in the socio-critical perspective of the youth, that oppositional perspectives of the social structure such as ideologic oppositions have lost effectiveness in our society. Here lies the key to why it is that the youth generation discourse especially the youth culture discourse could not give an explanation of present-day youth. According to the youth generation discourse and the youth culture discourse, present-day youth would have been criticized the aspects of their lethargic, passive, pliable attitudes of the society. On the other hand, present-day youth would explain for themselves. Here, We could find another identities of the present-day youth. But both approach have overlooked Korean present-day youth now have been not appreciably different from ‘the irregular labors, the social weak, the poor’ any more. I researched contemporary Korean literature dealt with present-day youth regarding the solidarity. Through the researching for the contemporary Korean literature dealt with present-day youth such as ‘irregular youth-labors, the bumming, job seekers - that is the space has been lost in the socio-cultural perspective - I reveal that the contemporary Korean literature dealt with present-day youth showed the social issues properly and that gave us the solutions and prospects of the Korean societies’s problematics.

글로벌리즘이 한국사회 전반에 영향을 행사하면서 청년들은 자유로운 개별자가 아니라 자기계발해야 하는 고립된 주체로 파편화되고 있다. 청년문화의 문맥에서도 청년들은 세대적 동질성을 상실해가고 있다. 소비주체로서가 아니라면 청년들은 더 이상 집단적 정체성을 획득하기도 어려워지고 있다. ‘88만원 세대’로 불리는 비정규직 청년, 알바 세대가 불러온 사회인식의 구조변동과 관련해서 기억할 점은, 세대 간 대립의 변형태로 존재했던 좌/우파 대립 혹은 보수/진보의 대립 구도가 그 유효성을 상실했다는 사실이다. 그간의 세대론에 입각한 청년론과 1990년대 이래로 영향력을 행사했던 청년문화론이 2000년대 이후의 청년들을 온전히 설명해 내지 못하는 이유의 일단이 여기에 있다. 기성의 청년론과 청년문화론의 관점에서 청년은 무기력하고 수동적이며 보수적인 현실 순응적 존재들로 분류되고 비판된다. 이러한 관점은 청년들을 중심으로 더 이상 새로운 공동체 상상이 불가능하다는 결론을 전제한다. 물론 다른 한편으로 청년이 스스로에 대해 발언하는 방식으로 새롭게 정체성을 구성하는 작업이 축적되고 있기는 하다. 그러나 청년에 대한 양자의 접근법은 한국에서 청년이 점차 ‘비정규직 노동자, 사회적 약자, 빈곤층’의 범주에 속해야 하는 존재, 즉 억압되고 배제된 자들의 다른 이름이 되었음을 간과한다. 이 누락의 지점을 포착하기 위해 청년문제에 대한 해법을 제시하고 연대를 위한 노력을 제시하는 한국문학의 사례들을 검토했다. 이를 통해 백수, 비정규직 청년, 알바생, 취업준비생을 포함한 다양 청년 군상이 등장하는 최근 한국소설이 문화사회학적 관점이 소홀히 다루었던 지점을 파고들어 청년을 배제된 자의 일원으로서 다룸으로써 한국사회의 핵심모순의 포착을 포함한 청년 문제에 대한 해법과 전망을 제시하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
