In general, strengthening financial cooperation between two nations can further promote development of bilateral trade relationships, and raise their investment efficiency. Moreover, it can also play an active role in reducing impacts of financial crisis, realizing sustainable development, reinforcing political and economic independency, and seeking comprehensive economic co-operation between the two nations. After Korea building up diplomatic relationship with China in 1992 and enjoying after ward sharply increases of trade and investment, more and more Korean enterprises entered Chinese market, cooperation in financial policies and capital communication between financial enterprises of two countries are therefore developing remarkably. And now, the focus of economic cooperation between the two nations has expanded from manufacturing industry into financial and capital markets. However, because of the differences in political system, financial policy, level and goal of financial reforms, and different degrees of independence on U.S.dollar, no comprehensive, systematic and institutional financial cooperation have been developed, and no long-term cooperation strategy and development goal have been established between these two countries. The goal of trade amount between China and Korea next year is about 200billion U.S.dollars. Sustainabled evelopment of real economy also needs financial cooperation and communication in capital market. But queasy global financial system and market make it necessary to establish reasonable channels to promote financial cooperation, improve supervision system for capital movements between the two countries, especially cooperation in bonds and stock market. This will facilitate financial institutions of one country to enter capital market of another country more deeply. Simultaneously, development of FTA negotiation between the two countries also needs the two countries to improve their exchange rate systems.
