Recently, the issues on morality such as ethical leadership and corporate ethics have attracted overall attention including government, community, and corporate. Especially, due to a global economic recession, CEOs face growing pressure of creating performance quickly in spite of a lack of resources so that the corporate leader’s ethical leadership is increasingly getting importance. This paper, from a perspective of social learning theory, investigates the process that ethical leadership affects employees’ ethical behaviors. As employees’ ethical behaviors are basically impacted by situational factors as well as individual factors, the current paper considers individual factors as individual moral identity and situational factors as ethical leadership. In addition, organizational identification mediates the relationship between an employee’s moral identity and ethical behavior. Finally, this article also examines the moderating effects of organizational trust and firm size, which exert the relationship between ethical leadership and an employee’s moral identity can be varied. The empirical results via aquestionnaire survey of 384 employees indicate that ethical leadership has a significant effect on ethical behavior through mediators of moral identity and organizational identification. Theinfluence of ethical leadership on moral identity is more strongly shown in the group with high organizational trust. Similarly, the significant effect of ethical leadership on moral identity is only limited to the large companies.
