A sewage treatment plant consisting of undreground structures has been constructed near river for discharging the treated water. Slope stability problem, associated with the water level of river near the site, occurs since deep excavation works are needed during onstruction. The water level of river changes during construction, increasing and eventually influencing the water level of open cut slope and its stability during rainy season. In this paper, stability of slope is analyzed on the basis of reliability analysis using the probability distribution of ground water level influenced by the water level of river near the site. Flood water level of river was estimated by the probability method of Gumbel distribution. Probability distribution of ground water level during period of excavation work was also analyzed. Stability of open-cut slope was analyzed by using the Bishop method with the software of Slope/W and consequently safety factor as the deterministic analysis, probability failure and reliability index as the reliability analysis were obtained.
