In this study, settling experiment was performed using dredged soil for analysis of settling and consolidation characteristic. Design parameters related to Yano"s method(1985), one of experimental approaches having been used widely in Korea to estimate sedimentation and consolidation, were analyzed and their properties were reassessed. Several settling tests with different height of columns were carried out in order to evaluate settling and consolidation characteristics. As a result, settling and consolidation coefficient were obtained at the corresponding height of sample respectively. It were calculated as about 0.126cm/min.
