‘Studies of Cultural Interactions of Sea-Port City’ project team is now standing at the crossroad for the evolution of new advanced academic field. This essay aims to elaborate the concept of sea-port city which has been inaccurate to its members and analyse their finding in terms of it.
Sea-Port city is a port city with harbor facing the sea, So, it functions a nod between the land area the maritime area. This means that it situates in the networks and links them. Above all, port and network become highlighted to the sea-port city. Thus, the studies of sea-port city must be grounded on three referential points: port, network, and city.
The classification and analysis of our findings appeared in the first stage on basis of these referential points reveals that more than sixty percentage accorded with them. However they show that about thirty percentage did not suit to them at all, too. It can be said that these articles had nothing with to our project agenda.
Our team has the goal that we will develop the studies of cultural interactions of sea-port city in the second stage. To achieve this goal, we have to prepare sub-projects built on the more sophisticated concept of sea-port city and our agenda. Furthermore, each finding of members must correspond to three referential points. In this respect, each of them have to try consciously to produce the finding suitable to them.
