The purpose of this study was to understand the multicultural family children’ sports activity participation and adjustment. To attain the purpose of this study, 9 informants in W city were selected as participants and the participant observation, in-depth interview, and related documents were executed. From the results of multicultural family’s children via Grounded theory paradigm presented by Strauss & Corbin(200l), 120 concepts and 20 subordinate categories were derived. The main findings of this study were as follows: The heart of matters in adjusting to the multicultural family’s children was ‘sports activity participation’s difficulty and distinction’, was various foreigner mother and their children’s poor korean language ability, difficulty of PE and sports activity, sportsless family, distinction from their classmate and society, confusion of personal identity. To solve the heart of matters-‘sports activity participation’s difficulty and distinction’, the informant were using school support, multicultural center’s support, religion support and personal deal. The last, the helpful condition in using these strategies and interactions were give up sports participation, resent about their parents and themselves, confidence and face up to the reality and explosion.
