Francis Schaeffer was one of the leading apologetics with C. S. Lewis. He was well known as a strong proponent for the inerrancy of the Bible. He had asked for the strong and full view of the Scripture. In this sense he seemed to be akin to the scientific creationism. However, Schaeffer’s creationism was different from the scientific creationism in several spheres. He did not think the ‘day’ in Genesis 1 as the day of 24 hours. Neither he think the genealogy in Genesis 10 as chronology. He did not think the age of the earth less than 10,000 years. In this sense Schaeffer seemed to me that he has the balanced sensitivity between ‘the freedom and limitation in cosmology as set by the Bible.’
