The purpose of this study is to make the directions of sustainable architecture material specification which provides database of sustainable architecture materials and guideline specifications. It intends to help architects as easy as possible to find and use environmentally preferable building products and to provide general guideline as to sustainable installation, efficient waste management and so on. To make the direction, this paper firstly establishes the main direction of specification for sustainable architecture after studying the present condition of the specifications in Korea. Secondly, it sets up the system of the specifications and the classification of the green products after it studies the case of domestic and oversea specifications. Finally, it proposes the development process and management system for sustainable architecture material specification. The development of specification for sustainable architecture can make the possible the practical integrated design of sustainable architecture in Korea.
