The purpose of this study was to evaluate physiological and perceptual responses of adult subjects by wearing heated slippers in a cold indoor. Three different slippers condition were tested: socks, slippers without heated pad, or heated slippers with heated pad. Eardrum temperature, skin temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, thermal perception, perception of humid,, and comfort perception was obtained. The result of this study were as follows; Earcanal temperature and mean skin temperature were higher with wearing heated slippers. Foot skin temperature decreased between the initial time and the end of wearing experimental. But wearing slippers with heated pad maintained warm temperature rather than wearing slippers without heated pad and socks only. Thermal sensation, cushion sensation, tactual sensation, and comfort sensation were better wearing slippers with heated pad than wearing slippers without heated pad. Subjects felt less cold, more comfortable in heated slippers than slippers without heated pad.
