AFSIS-6(Airport Facilities Safety Integration System), a ground surveillance system, of preventing collisions between aircraft and GSE(Ground Service Equipment) vehicle in airside of an airport has been developed by using the location information with DGPS technology. The safety management system for moving object in airside has been designed, and it provides real time services in airside such as surveillance for GSE vehicles, automatic traffic signal control, management of FOD(Foreign Object Debris). etc. AFSIS-6 has the common platform expandable to the applications in other fields. The system has been tested in the airport environment successfully.
It is expected that the safety management system development for the application in an airport could be used for the similar applications in the fields of military and security as well.
