The purpose of this research is to analyze vulnerable areas in emergency medical service in Cheongju City using GIS. The analysis was based on network analysis, the typical method of spatial analysis of GIS, and the analysis of accessibility was conducted focusing on transferring time. As a result of the study, most emergency medical centers were located in the downtown area of Cheongju, so uptown area become out of the service area. And especially, it was confirmed that areas around Gangseo 1-dong where there are quite a lot elderly people received quite vulnerable emergency medical service. It is judged that the result of this study will suggest an alternative and a way for improving emergency medical service and for spatial equity in Chengju in the future.
