The purpose of this study is to analyse the wedding dress preference according to body shape of female college students in Daegu area to help in developing wedding dress design and related marketing strategy. Firstly, the image of wedding dress most preferred was elegant, lovely and faithful image and the factor they care about the most was purity and beauty. As for design, they preferred tank top and v-neckline and cap sleeve design. The most popular color was white and white-ivory. The most popular length was a floor length. As for wedding dress decoration, they preferred tiara and train which trails 1m or 1-2m length. The preferred shape of veil was short one with shirring and beads decoration was the most popular one.
Secondly, design preference according to characteristic of the body shape was significantly different in length and color of dress. As for preference in length. both A and B group preferred the long length and slim body type women preferred mini length and medium body type women preferred mini length. As for the color, slim body type women preferred white ivory and medium body type women preferred ivory.
