Word-class Shift in modern Chinese is a language phenomenon which appears increasingly in recent years. It is not conventional but indispensable as a part of lingual application at present for its multitude and development. Therefore, it attracts wide attention in the studies of modern Chinese glossary and grammar.
This thesis mainly study the shift of noun, adjective and verb which especially since reform and opening up. According to the questionnaire survey of public acceptance, we describe and analyze its current situation, then summarize the factors affecting public acceptance; Finally, we discuss the relation between word-class shift and standardization of Chinese, analyze its changes since the reform and opening up and trends in the future.
