Due to the energy saving policy and programmes, designers and engineers have to implement energy saving strategy in their buildings from the early stage of design.
Since the energy consumption in buildings are associated with various determinants, it is not trivial to identify the most effective saving measures. designers and engineers should be supported by effective guide lines. In this study, major determinants on energy consumption of buildings were identified through the detailed simulation models before establishing regression equations for the prediction of energy consumption rate affected by each major determinants. This paper presents the results of the simulation and analysis.
