Inclined-flow heat exchanger element is an air to air heat exchanger which recuperate sensible heat as well as latent heat. In the present study, 3-D incompressible steady flow in enthalpy exchanger was investigated by changing the angle of flow array. To compare the overall performance of heat exchanger, ε-NTU method was performed. The results of sensible heat transfer showed good agreements with the relation of effectiveness-number of transfer units. To enhance the sensible heat transfer of the inclined-flow heat exchanger, the effects of the angle of flow inclination was investigated.
The present numerical analysis can provide useful information such as the performance of the inclined-flow heat exchanger for various heat exchanger applications.
