Objective: In this study, we constructed various injury-safety indicators for its objective using local injury-safety data. It makes analyzing local injury-safety situation systematically possible. Thus, our goal is to prevent people’s injury and safety accident. Background: Currently, almost two hundred seventy two communities designated safe community globally and Korea designated total five communities at safe community. Even though communities’ interests about safe community are increasing as people are being interested about injury-safety, injury-safety data of public institutions such as police station, fire station, national statistical office, school aren’t being shared and these require a lot of effort and time to search data. Method: Clearing collectable safety accident data of public institutions such as police station, fire station, national statistical office, school and translating them as codes, we developed an analyzing system based on chart and table of injury surveillance database using MS SQL. Conclusion: Through web-based injury surveillance system, we are able to manage injury-safety data. Using statistical indicators, we can prevent injury controlling high risk injury, risk environment , risk agent and it is possible to accommodate safety promotion of local community.
