The purpose of this study is to analyze social psychological factors affecting sports achievement of high school student athletes, and the results through the in-depth interviewing are as follows;
First, it shows that high school student athletes have higher level of goal attainment motivation for sports achievement.
Second, it is found that high school student athletes practice unsupervised training for sports achievement.
Third, it is found that high school student athletes make efforts to have strong des with team members for sports achievement.
Fourth, it is found that high school student athletes practice self management for sports achievement.
Consequently, physical training instructors should guide high school student athletes into their best sports performance by giving them motivation of goal attainment, never forcing them, and trying to create an environment that can lead them to increase their physical strength and participate in an unsupervised training. In addition, student athletes should be encouraged to maintain strong mutual des with team members, and to improve in many aspects such as daily life and physical training by promoting new or desirable behaviors for successive sports performance and sports achievement through the self management.
