Public Philophy is an ideology of defending private person and enlightening publicness. Mozi is the Founder of public philosophy(公共哲學) that purpose is public interest. He sticked to his convictions from the people"s opinions which is the pursuit of universal love(兼愛) is an altruism as well as selt-interest. It called huosikaigong(活私開公) to overcome dualism of official-private inconsistency problem. Mozi criticized the extravagance tendency prevailing of the ruling classes in that society and emphasize ‘the frugal in the usage of things(節儉)’ that guarantees the people"s basic economic life. It is based on mozi"s publicness. The theme of present age"s public philosophy is peace. It is necessary for the harmonious theory of universal love(兼愛) and pacifism(非攻) to realize the world of Internatioal publicness. Mozi established Mohist Body to realize harmonious impartiality society(大同社會). Besides Mohist body criticized oppression and despotism of the ruling class, they play an important part to speak of people"s publicness. The object of Mohism is the pursuit of the public interest. It has something in common with public philosophy of today. Therefore I believe Mohist to be full of suggestions in establishing public philosophy.
