Report Errors

Recreational forests have been created in order to enhance the public utility of natural forests that offer the resting spaces to the public. Recreation forests with relax and amenity in the forests are made 121 reaching the end of 2008 present starting from Yu-myong mountain recreation forests in 1988. The number of natural recreational forests is decreasing after the year of 2002 though, the number of visitors was dramatically increased from around 4 million in 2002 to 7.6 million in 2008. This means the lack of supply for natural recreational forests as the rapid increase in the number of visitors, and the visitors are suffering from inconvenience and dissatisfaction due to the insufficient recreational spaces. Thus the model formula on user satisfaction for natural recreational forests located in Chungbuk province is expresses as below in order to distribute the limited natural resources in an efficient manner. Y = 0.610 + 0.219X1 + 0.158X2 + 0.143X3 + 0.108X4 + 0.090X5 + 0.089X6 + 0.071X7 where X1 = Recreation and fatigue, X2 = Cleanliness of the facility, X3 = Reasonable cost, X4 = Close to residential, X5 = Friendly staff, X6 = Connection with surrounding, X7 = Sports, recreational facilities The constructed model formula in this study is expected to be used as a basic date for providing a higher level of recreational opportunities for users and suggesting an efficient method that leads to the improvement of facilities and services by recreational forests management agents. In addition, the study has an implication that it proposes a way of operation to distribute the limited resources to natural forests in a desired manner. The study may be used as a basic date for the operations strategy in order to provide the best recreational services.
