This study figures out a cause for the occurrence of unused school facilities to find a solution as the space for local residents by investigating the facilities of schools, the surroundings, the reality, and the present condition. These unused school facilities are continuously increasing in number because of business district centralization, schools moving out after government policies, and antiquation. Because of locational, social, and technical influences are limiting the schools from carrying out their proper functions, alternative plans are necessary. Considering such circumstances, the purpose of this study is to find out the practical use of unused school facilities for local community.
