Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the needs and satisfaction of using assistive devices for elderly and IT convergence multifunction assistive devices for elderly needs. Background: Using assistive devices for elderly of long term care insurance beneficiary occupied a large portion and IT convergence multifunction assistive devices for elderly occupied a large portion in resolving the difficulties of beneficiary and caregiver. But that not long term care insurance standard assistive devices for elderly, so difficult to practically using. Method: This survey conducted From March 2st, 2011 to May 21st, 2011. 104 long term care insurance beneficiary in Busan participated. Descriptive analysis used to determine General Characteristics, Assistive Devices for Elderly satisfaction, needs and IT convergence multifunction assistive devices for elderly needs. Results: satisfaction of assistive devices for elderly higher. Need of IT convergence multifunction assistive devices for elderly higher on ranger detector, Emergency detective system. Conclusion: In order to introduce expensive IT convergence multifunction assistive devices for elderly, many improvement way needs. Also will be needed support of institutional framework and policy. Research of standard and introduction measure Should be performed in order to using IT convergence multifunction assistive devices for elderly.
