This study attempted to investigate the relationship among the exercise participation form, sports fun and exercise addiction of badminton dun members. For this purpose, the questionnaire research was conducted for 311 persons(male: 177; female: 134) with the same taste working at the badminton clubs located in Seoul and Kyonggi area. As a result of testing the hypotheses, the following conclusion was drawn:
First, the superiors had the more exercise time and frequency and the longer exercise experiences, but the beginners had the more monthly amount of expenditures. Second, the male persons had the more exercise time and frequency and longer exercise experiences, and felt more funny for triumph and competition as they had the higher practical ability. It was found that there was a difference in personal relations, perceived competence, physical health and the like according to exercise behavior variables. But it was found that there was no difference in the monthly amount of expenditures according to any variable. Third, it was found that the male members had the conflict and those in their 40s had the withdrawal symptom. As the members had more exercise time and frequency, they had attachment, tolerance and obsession. As the members had the exercise experiences and higher practical ability, they had the greater conflict. The members spending 60,000~200,000won a month were found to have the large addiction symptom in all variables. Fourth, it was found that only the exercise ability variable alone had an effect on escape from the daily life, and triumph and competition. Fifth, it was found that the monthly amount of expenditures had an effect on all exercise addiction variables. It was found that the exercise time, frequency and experiences had an effect on tolerance and that the exercise experience and practical ability had an effect on obsession. Sixth, it was found that triumph/competition and physical fitness/health had an effect on withdrawal symptom and conflict escape from daily life, perceived competence and physical fitness/health had an effect on attachment and perceived competence and triumph/competition variables had an effect on tolerance and obsession.
