The purpose of this study is to develop the device to self-examine the addiction to exercise, to help normal exercisers grasp their status and control their goals. 1873 who correctly filled it up among them were used for the 1st and 2nd preliminary researches. Questions are collected and developed based on analysis, EFA analysis, CFA analysis was done to verify its property. A decision tree was used as well, for proved factors to fit to the self-examining device model developed. Follows are the conclusions gotten through the above way and process. Extracted factors are presented with 19 items in total, including mental trouble(8 items), withdrawal symptoms(5 items), and attachment to exercise(3 items). Secondly, Cronbach’s α about the factor-forming items was proper and credible in the range from .787 to .932. The factors extracted from the result of EFA to appreciate structure of items are supposed to properly speak for the items they form. Thirdly, as a result of CFA to appreciate property of the developed self-examining Sachs to detect exercise addiction, it was relatively good. Fourthly, as a result of analyzing correlation coefficient matrix among factors of CFA, 4 factors were not independent but mutually-combined accompanying mental ones. Fifthly, a decision tree, one of data mining skills, was available to put in the self-examining device for exercise addiction developed by this writer, which made development of a new type of exercise-addiction examining Sachs possible.
