This study explores the influence of the male middle school students’ general background information such as academic years on the satisfaction of physical education class, the satisfaction of school life, and the participation intention of sports. The subjects in this study were the male students in middle schools located in Gyeongsangbuk-do. After conducting the survey, the answer sheets from 590 respondents were finally analyzed. To process the data, a frequency analysis, a reliability analysis and an exploratory factor analysis were performed with the program ‘Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS; version 18.0).’ In addition, a confirmatory factor analysis and the structural equation were performed with the program ‘AMOS (version 18.0).’ The major findings in this study were as follows; First, teaching content among satisfaction of physical education class factor had positive effect on social environment significant and teacher regard. Second, teaching evaluate among satisfaction of physical education class factor had positive effect on environment significant and teacher regard. Third, teaching content, teaching evaluate and teaching environment among satisfaction of physical education class factor had negative effect on school dissatisfaction. Lastly, environment significant among school life satisfaction factor had positive effect on participation in sports.
