In this article, it is proved that the original text of <A Ruby(Hong-Bo-Suk, 紅寶石)> as a kind of Korean adapted novel is an English novel and the retranslation of the Chinese adaptation.
Moreover, it is true that the Chinese adaptation of <Hypnotism(Jun-Sul-Ki-Dam, 電術奇談)> is the retranslation of the Japanese Novel of <The Newsvendor(Shin-Mun-Pal-I, 新聞賣子)> as an adapted one.
After all, an anonymous English novel was translated in Japanese first, and then retranslated in Chinese, and finally retranslated in Korean. That is <A Ruby(Hong-Bo-Suk, 紅寶石)>
The writer of the Japanese adaptation is Kikuchi-Uho, the famous author of <己が罪> and <乳姉妹>, and they were also translated in Korean. And The writer of the Chinese adaptation is O-Kyun-In, also the famous author and translator of early modern China.
So <A Ruby(Hong-Bo-Suk, 紅寶石)> can be the evidence of the cultural exchange of the 3 East Asian country. And the translator of it may be thought that is the one of the famous Korean writer. He may be Kim-Kyo-Je or Lee-Hae-Jo, or Jo-Jung-Whan.
