This research investigated philological and compilatory characteristics of the newly-discovered anthology 『Younghwacho(詠和抄)』. In 『Younghwacho』, 240 works are included, but there are two duplicated works, therefore, 238 works are included. In this anthology, 188 works of pyeog-sijo are included. But 50 works of saseol-sijo are included, and this number tells that the ratio saseol-sijo are higher than other anthologies. The exact compilatory time cannot be estimated, since there is no preface, and no epilogue, and also no history of manuscript. From the expressions and phrases used in this anthology, however, this book seemed to be compiled during or after Daehanjegug. As a peculiar characteristics, there are small characters subscriptions beside the texts. One type of subscription is related to Sijo-chang, and another type of subscription has sometihing to do with contents of sijo.
19 works in 『Younghwacho』appeared only in a book. Six works among them appeared only in 『Agbu (Korea University version)』 and two of them appeared only in 『Jon and Sa(調및詞)』, and others appeared only in one text respectively. Twenty-three works appeared only in 『Younghwacho』, and two of them is a type of entertaining poem and others are love songs.
