This paper aims at examining the effectiveness of a domestic English camp program for college students. This four-week intensive English camp was designed to increase students’ opportunities to participate in the communicative setting, to enhance their English proficiency, and to gain an understanding of cultures and customs of English-speaking countries while studying with native teachers. Furthermore, it also aims at increasing their TOEIC scores that are very important for getting a job in hospital. The results of the study showed that the students in the English camp were strongly satisfied with the program, and their average scores after completing the intensive English program were 89 points higher. Based on the research, it is hoped that the English intensive camp should be valuable in other colleges or universities to maximize the students’ learning strategies.
