This study aims to analyze residential differentiation in Seoul based on Brian Berry"s general field theory of spatial behavior. For this, we analyze migration fields from the aspect of functional region, and analyze urban spatial structure of Seoul from the aspect of homogeneous regions. And finally, we analyze relationship between migration fields and regional characteristics. According to the results, Seoul has 19 migration fields. Most of migration fields are formed wedge shaped by connected Dongs. And these migration fields are not closely connected with regional clusters from the aspect of homogeneous reg ions except Gangnam?Seocho migration field. However, migration fields are closely connected with regional characteristics in their separate ways. These results can be used as the basic information for urban planning, housing policy and housing sales.
