Many companies established the ISO 9000 quality management system for many years. However, the cost of quality process in the ISO 9000 quality management system was not correctly settled in many cases. This study was analyzed for the theoretical background of cost of quality and ISO 9001 quality management system and examined the effect of them on the business performance by using K company case.
We found some suggestions as follows. First, understand and apply measurement for analysis of the cost of quality according to ISO 9000: 2000 requirements. Second, understand and Apply measurement for analysis of the cost of Quality according to ISO
9004: 2000 Guide line. Third, apply operation method and procedure of ISO 9000 managements system and the cost of quality process effectively. Fourth, improve management performance through integrated ISO 9000 managements system and the cost of quality process. As a result, the effect of ISO 9000 requirements and ISO 9004 performance guideline approach to cost of quality process was business performance improved by 56 % in terms of sales volume.
