The subscribers and the usage level aren‘t on the increase since the WiBro service, as a new mobile Internet service, has been provided to mobile Internet users on June 2006. In relation to this market situation, the study is to investigate which factors are perceived by mobile Internet users as the most important one to further boost the usage of WiBro service, and to examine the perception of usage promoting factors in WiBro service varies according to their demographic and mobile Internet service usage characteristics. The study also is to suggest a few of research propositions on the relationships between usage promoting factors in WiBro service and characteristics of mobile Internet users, based on various statistical analyses. To accomplish these research purposes, the study defined characteristics of mobile Internet users including demographic characteristic(gender, job) and mobile Internet usage characteristic(usage level, usage location), user types(current WiBro user, prospective WiBro user), and usage promoting factors in WiBro service(technology infrastructure, government policy, contents, devices, service providers) based on the literature review of mobile Internet services. The results show, based on the statistical analyses using survey questionnaire on mobile Internet users, that there are little differences in perception of usage promoting factors in WiBro service among the mobile Internet users grouped by job, and that only the relationship between job of mobile Internet users and usage promoting factors in WiBro service is moderated by user types. Finally, the study proposed four research propositions, based on the analysis result, that could be used in WiBro related researches in the future.
