The water resources depletion is seriously confronted in domestic and abroad. This is explained by the Global warming and El Nino and La Nino. The rain amount of Korea has about 1,274㎜ averagely, which value is nothing but 12% in the worldwide rain amount. Therefore, it should require to control the demand and supply of the water. In addition, it needs to evaluate the effect of the water policy. The indicator would be utilized to evaluate effect and to calculate the water-supply system. It is used as a tool to reduce the difference between the water policy target and the present status.
In this paper, it is aimed at providing the indicator model to set upon the water consumption, including analyzing the average consumption in area, household and water cost. The indicator is approached with two method. One is to utilize the maximum and minimum value. The other is to utilize the exponential function to explain the present water consumption. Results of this study are as follows : First, the average consumption unit per area and household is provided with 2.45 ㎥/㎡ㆍyr and 237.68 ㎥ /householdㆍyr respectively. The average water cost per area and household is 1,082.24 won/㎡ㆍyr and 118.41×10³won/househol dㆍyr. Second, the water consumption has not have a difference over a year. Third, the indicator has a range between 0 and 100. Therefore, it’s range could be controlled and ridged between 0~100. The indicator model of the water consumption is shaped to the convex to the origin and has a goodness of statistics.
