his study conducted an exercise program with 18 obese women at age 55~65 with %fat of 30% or more who became menopausal for more than 6 months by dividing them into combined exercise group(n=6), exercise group(n=6) and control group(n=6). Finally the following results were obtained.
First, regarding weight, a statistically significant difference was found in the combined exercise group(p<.001) and the exercise group(p<.01) and a significant difference was found among three groups at p<.001.
Second, regarding %fat, a significant decrease was found only in the combined exercise group(p<.001) and a significant difference was found among three groups at p<.001.
Third, regarding bone density, a significant increase was found in the femur only in the combined exercise group(p<.001) and a significant difference was found among three groups(p<.001). A significant difference was found in the lumbar vertebra in the combined exercise group(p<.001) and the exercise group(p<.01) and a significant difference was found among three groups(p<.001).
Finally, a significant decrease was found in TC in the combined exercise group and the exercise group and a significant difference was found among three groups(p<.01). While no statistically significant change was found in HDL-C in the combined exercise group and the exercise group, a significant difference was found among three groups(p<.01). A significant decrease was found in LDL-C in the combined exercise group(p<.001) and the exercise group(p<.01) and a significant difference was found among three groups(p<001).
