With China’s emerging in steel industry, steel import from China in Korea have been increased but in Japan there is no great increase of steel import from China. The reason is that in Japan steel market there are unique quality standards and related certifications, complicated distribution networks, exclusive affiliated distribution chains, steel users’ concentrated purchases such as ‘himotski(ひもつき)’ system.
So through mutually consultations with related industry, preparing not only KS or JIS but also association standards which is agreed mutually, Korea steel industry firstly should secure final users’ safety and seek to stabilize domestic steel market in expanding steel demand of domestic steel companies.
