Report Errors
A domestic housing market has faced the demographic changes. Above all, the one-person households have increased rapidly. Considering the increment as the housing demander, the government establishes the policy of the housing supply for the one-person households. But there is a controversy about whether the whole one-person household is the housing demander. Scholars insist that the housing demand of the one-person households is not the same as the whole number of the one-person households. So, we forecast a figure of the housing demand for the one-person households in Seoul using the Mankiw-Weil model in this paper. As the result, the final figures in this paper is less than the whole increment of the one-person households, so we reached the conclusion that the estimation of the government is overestimated.
