A Study on Translation of Chinese Characters in Korean. Study of Korean Language and Literature 112. This paper analyzes a translation of Chinese Character in Korean and examines the lexicon for a Korean version of Kugeupbang. This paper focuses on an overview of the process of introduction of Chinese characters. I examine linguistic developmental stages of the lexicon of Chinese characters. As Hyangchal disappears, Chinese characters account for lots of the lexicon of Korean language. The paper is organized as follows. In section 2, I will review a introduction of Chinese character into Korea briefly. This analysis points out some theoretical and empirical problems to the lexicon of Korean. In section 3, I will present my own analysis adopting to lexical views of the Korean version of Kugeupbang. which appear to the diverse side of the medieval language. Furthermore, compared instances of medical books differing with Kugeupbang to investigate Chinese characters used in a translation way of the medieval data. Section 4 concludes the paper.
To sum up, in this paper, we analyzed the Korean Version of Kugeupbang within the framework of translation of Chinese Characters in Korean Text.
