Current status of the resource circulation system in industrial complex has been investigated and the suggestions for its improvements are presented focusing on the EIP. In order to set up the resource circulation society, a new approach is preferentially required. One of the laws of ecology is that everything is concerned to everything else. An approach that is based on an ecological framework and incorporates economic and environment dimensions would provide a different and comprehensive view of the huge flows of materials among the industries and industrial complex. We take aim at introducing the practical uses of EIP technology to improve the environmental problems from industrial complex. This study consists of four sections. Section 1 focuses on the background of the EIP. Section 2 outlines the concept of EIP and the successful cases of developed countries. Section 3 examines the opportunities that are currently available for the North-Kyungpook province. This section also outlines the government's policies for the EIP. The following recommendations were developed as a result of the study: ① common vision, ② partnership, ③ clustering and ④ netwoking. These recommendations could form the starting point for EIP. The final section deals with overall conclusions and a brief summary of the recommendations mentioned in the previous sections.
