Currently several Geographic Information Systems (GIS) related to groundwater, such as MODFLOW and groundwater modeling systems, are being used, but most of users are difficult to use these systems, because harmonic connections among diverse non-spatial attributes and metadata are lacked and searching by keywords and addresses about groundwater information is impossible. Particularly as drying up and pollution of surface water such as rivers and lakes are deepened and the importance of groundwater in diverse application areas is raised up, the absence of this modeling may cause a serious problem.
In this paper, we design and apply the model so that this conceptual modeling can be fitted into the physical model supporting a spatial/non-spatial database management system, and use Unified Feature IDentifiers (UFID) for preserving relationships among spatial data.
In order to validate the integrity of the proposed modeling, we analyze the real groundwater mining data instantiate topological maps of Drawing Exchange File (DXF) formats The results of experiments with our conceptual modeling show that our proper modeling can be widely applied to various application areas related to water from the fact that with groundwater modeling, it is able to model diverse agricultural data of toil and suitable plants, etc.
