The purpose of this study was to analyze on the solving strategies and the difficulties in teaching of elementary school pre-service teachers. A total of 218 pre-service teachers who were enrolled at the universities of education located in Gyeonggi and Chungbuk were investigated by using an open-ended questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using inductive categorical analysis. The following results were obtained.
First, the factors such as class management, class level, student management and class content caused elementary school pre-service teachers to worry when they were supposed to plan physical education classes. The elementary school pre-service teachers with teaching experience applied positive strategy, negative strategy and personal relations strategy to their classes while inexperienced teachers could not.
Second, the factors such as class management, class participation and class activity caused elementary school pre-service teachers to worry during their lessons. The elementary school pre-service teachers with teaching experience applied management strategy, class construction strategy and personal relations strategy to their classes while inexperienced teachers could not.
